Step 1 – Hiring a Search Firm
In the posted agenda for the Feb 27th meeting, under the Consent Agenda, item 2.01 is “Executive Search Services Agreement: Ray & Associates”. The documents in that section indicate that Ray & Associates have won the RFP and will be awarded the contract on Feb. 27. Please see our post here for more information.
The Special Meeting was held last night (Feb 5th). There were four firms answered the RFP. One answer was considered non-responsive and was eliminated. After reviewing the staff and their own evaluations, the Board settled on two Executive Search firms as the finalists for the search. The two firms are Ray & Associates and PROACT. The remaining firm, the Colorado Association of School Boards (CASB) was considered to be to limited to Colorado. The Board wants a nation-wide search.
The two finalists will be invited to give presentations and answer questions at a meeting on Feb 18th.
- The Board has scheduled a Special Meeting for Feb 5th (Education Center at 5:30 p.m.) to meet with the Evaluation Committee and review the finalists for the RFP. Award of the contract is scheduled Feb 26th. RFP documents can be found here: 1, 2, 3.
